Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Qistas (“we”, “us”) for using the Qistas website and service. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Qistas.

What Qistas is

Qistas is software for businesses that sell on instalments. You use it to keep a record of your customers, the contracts you agree with them, the instalments they owe and the payments they make. Qistas is a record-keeping tool. It is not a bank, a lender, an accountant or a legal adviser, and it does not move money between you and your customers.

Your account

• Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password and any recovery codes private. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so we recommend turning on two-step sign-in.
• You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding agreement for your business.

Your data

The customer, contract and payment records you enter belong to you. We process them only to provide the service to you. You are responsible for having the right to record that information, including your customers’ personal details, and for following the laws that apply to your lending or selling activity where you operate.

You can ask us to delete your account and the data in it at any time. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Plans, limits and payment

• The Free plan has no time limit. Each plan has limits and features, which are shown on our pricing page and in your account.
• Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, by card. A paid plan continues until you cancel it.
• You can cancel at any time. You keep the paid plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not refund part-periods unless the law requires it.
• If you move to a plan with lower limits, we never delete your records. You keep everything you already have and cannot add more until you are within the new limits.
• We may change prices. We will tell you in advance, and a change applies from your next billing period.

Using Qistas responsibly

Do not use Qistas to break the law, to harm or deceive people, to attack or probe our systems, to access another business’s data, or to send spam. Do not try to bypass the limits of your plan. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we will explain why when we can.

Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Qistas available and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve, change or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces what you rely on, we will give you reasonable notice.

Responsibility

You are responsible for checking the amounts, dates and balances you record and for decisions you make using them. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, arising from your use of Qistas, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Qistas and close your account at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms or if we are required to by law. When an account is closed we delete its data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep some records by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we make a significant change we will tell you through the service or by email. If you keep using Qistas after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
